Why am I not seen? So often I see women living wholly invisible in their own lives. Unseen and ignored by their husbands, demeaned only to the superficial role of a “wife” for society and ‘arm candy’ at parties. Unseen by children for she only drives them to school, cooks their food and tends to them when ill. Unseen by her parents because she never fit their mould so she is not considered worth seeing. Every client of mine is met with the response. Do you see yourself? How can others see you when you don’t see you? It’s you who has forgotten who you really are and assigned yourself to these empty labeled roles. If you saw yourself for who you truly are, you would laugh at those who treated you otherwise. Shed your labels and who you think you are and come into who you were before the world told you who to be.
